Following the introduction of the new working at height regulations in 2005, there is increased legislation regarding working at height. With that in mind, as IPAF accredited instructors, we conform to standards that are internationally accepted. Training can either be carried out at our training centre, at your premises or on site, this allows you to be in control of your training.

Aims

To train your staff to prepare, inspect and operate the mobile elevated work platform of your choice, safely.

Duration

This is a one day course for up to 6 delegates. This will comprise of a multiple choice pre-theory test paper followed by instruction in the various MEWP categories, relevant legislation, pre-use inspection/handover, safe operating methods and hazards and a practical assessment.

Objectives

At the end of the course the operator will be aware of:

• The relevant health and safety regulations.
• Accident prevention and control.
• The needs regarding personal protective equipment and protection.
• How to drive the MEWP safely and to manoeuvre as required, to correctly position and to carry out require tasks in a proper and safe manner.
• How to carry out a pre-use inspection/handover.
